Made In Abyss: Tabidachi No Yoake Subbed
The first of the two compilation movies for Made in Abyss, titled Tabidachi no Yoake, has started screening in Japanese cinemas on 4 January 2019. On 5 January 2019 a stage event took place where Miyu Tomita (voice of Riko), Mariya Ise (voice of Reg), and Shiori Izawa (voice of Nanachi) appeared as guests.As the event took place shortly after New Year, the guests came on stage and greeted the fans with ‘Happy New Year!’. They thought back to the time when the three of them cried during the event in November 2017 when the production of a sequel was announced. Before the fans are able to enjoy the highly anticipated continuation of the story, they get to see two compilation movies. Ise said about this, ‘Of course I am very happy about the sequel, but I’m also happy that we get to experience the previous story on the big screen like this.’Tomita added, ‘We talked how we wanted to have a cinema event like this already while the series was still broadcasting.’ Izawa explained further, ‘We only got to show the last episode in cinemas, but Made in Abyss is a story that should be seen on the big screen.

That’s what we thought.’When they were asked about their thoughts on the full compilation movies, Ise said that one could feel the charm of the story and the cuteness of the characters even more and that she was especially happy that she got to voice Reg. Tomita explained that she was very touched by the love the fans were showing this anime, as this love made it possible to create the compilation movies before the sequel. It moved her to tears. Izawa said that even though it is a compilation movie, it includes a new scene from the very beginning and, as is usually the case with compilation movies, many cuts are different to those from the anime.
They also talked about the recordings for it and mentioned that they were very impressed by the beautiful bond that viewers could feel between Liza and Toka. They also complimented the wonderful words with which the narrator conveys the story. ‘The screenwriter is a genius!’In addition, they revealed the title of the sequel movie: Fukaki Tamashii no Reimei (Dawn of the Abyssal Soul) and complimented this title as well as Tabidachi no Yoake (Journey’s Dawn) and Hourou Suru Tasogare (Wandering Twilight), which the original manga author Akihito Tsukushi came up with. ‘That’s also just genius!’, they said and clapped.At the end, they recommended those who were coming in contact with the world of Made in Abyss for the first time through the compilation movies to ‘also read the original manga, to become fully engrossed in the world of Made in Abyss‘.The EJ Anime Theater Shinjuku Cafe and Gallery located in the same building as the cinema will hold collaboration space until 31 January 2019. The cafe is decorated with the key visual and parts of the storyboard and other pictures.
Journey’s Dawn is a great recap for Made in abyss season one, this is sure to please anyone that loves Made in abyss. But don’t get too excited because other than the intro the movie is just episodes 1 to 8 cut and pasted in similar to the Madoka Magica movies are. Beli pulsa simpati.
